CHITRAL: The Refugee Affected and Hosting Areas (Raha), a project of the UNHCR for rehabilitation of the areas affected by the Afghan refugees due to their decades’ long stay in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has spent Rs8 million on the schools of three union councils of Chitral district for infrastructure restoration and other facilities. Addressing workshop of teachers’ training at a local hotel Monday, the education coordinator for the Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP), Salahuddin said under the Raha programme 54 schools in Ayun, Darosh-1 and Darosh-2 had been rehabilitated. The funds were spent on classrooms renovation, arrangement of furniture, carpets, writing boards, computers and construction of the schools boundary walls, he said.The news
